Jess Altman is a 3x Emmy-winning producer, editor, and videographer with a passion for telling real human stories—stories that move people and make a difference.
She began her career on camera as a reporter, but quickly discovered her heart was behind the lens, crafting long-form features that capture emotional truth with care and clarity.
Jess joined Pac-12 Networks in 2019, where she quickly rose from digital content editor to producing, shooting, and editing full-length, documentary-style stories across the conference. Her deep technical expertise—operating high-end cameras, mastering post-production, and FAA drone-certified—makes her a force behind the scenes. But it’s her empathy, attention to detail, and trust-building with subjects that set her apart in the field.
Today, Jess specializes in human impact videos for personal injury attorneys—powerful visual narratives that show how a client’s life has been changed by injury. Her goal isn’t just to tell stories—it’s to honor them. And while she’s proud of her Emmy awards, Jess says the most meaningful feedback comes from the clients and families who feel truly seen in her work.
A proud University of Oregon alum (and Ducks superfan), Jess now serves as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, mentoring the next generation of journalists and filmmakers. In an industry that’s still largely male-dominated, she’s committed to helping more women find their voice and path in production.
